About Clubhouse Canada
The Clubhouse Canada Coalition was founded in 2008 in Calgary, Alberta at the Western Canadian Conference.
Our Goal
We aim to be one united voice from coast to coast, while growing and developing Clubhouses across Canada.
Our goal is to have a Clubhouse in every community in our great country.
Our Background
Clubhouses across Canada work with adults living with mental illness and offer hope and opportunity for people to achieve their full potential. A Clubhouse is a place where people participate in their own recovery process by working and socializing together in a safe and welcoming environment and are able to successfully participate in society through access to supported education, employment opportunities, housing, participation in the structured work-ordered-day and social recreation activities.
Our Purpose
Clubhouse Canada Coalition
The Clubhouse Canada Coalition operates within the framework and values of the Clubhouse International Standards for Clubhouse Development.
The Coalition will focus on collaboration, public awareness, promotion, reducing stigma, supporting other programs that aspire to become Clubhouses and by supporting existing Clubhouses to be accredited clubhouses.
Clubhouse Canada Network
The Clubhouse Canada Network focuses on collaboration, public awareness, promotion, reducing stigma, and supporting other Clubhouse Model programs.
The Network is an excellent way for aspiring clubhouses to explore their options, learn from similar spaces across Canada and find the regular support we all need to develop and thrive.
